Rewatching this again and I want to mention the interview thing about 20 minutes in. The 2 specific things I wanna bring up are where the CinemaSins guys gloat about being told to shut up because they wouldn't stop shitting on a film while still watching it in the theater WITH OTHER PEOPLE WHO WERE ENJOYING IT, and also the bit shortly after where they mention their "distaste for people". I wanna bring this up because these were very good relatable anecdotes that I would agree with! ....When I was an edgy 14 year old who was a giant smartass. I grew out of that in a few years alongside many other things. These are 2 fully grown men who somehow still hold that thought process.

Dude digging into people's past tweets is not cool. You are contributing to the problem of cancel culture, hyper sensitivity, and woke authoritarianism. You should be better.

Cimemasins has ruined peoples brains. Seriously, ive seen people unironically act just like jeremy with other things. Spoilers for kingdom hearts 3 For example, i had someone legit say,in the scene in kh3 when every died, that they couldn't understand how everyone died, because they never had sora say "riku everyone is dead!!!! Riku!!! Kairi is dead riku shes dead!!!" When we saw in every other game, that losing your heart means you die, weve seen people die on screen, and how difficult it is to bring someone back from the dead (besides sora, but thats because he died in a special way in kh1), its been explained and we've seen multiple times, but since in kh3 they didnt have sora directly say it, its "confusing". Legit the same crap jeremy would do and say.

Jeremy's worst enemy is his hubris ("we started this channel because we wanted Hollywood to change") and lack of self-reflection ("it's satire/comedy/deliberate assholery"). That debacle with Screen Junkies was completely avoidable if he had just a shred of humility.

I recently watched several videos of cinemasins back to back, afterwards I was severely depressed.

4:04 I genuinely used to think their content was 100% satire and was a regular viewer years ago. So glad this came across my recommended so i could get a different perspective on them

I think personally he just murdered his father and everything else is totally made up in his mind. fact is he's had a total mental breakdown and the father isn't his father but a phycologist trying to talk to him in a way that will break him out of his delusions. So really this is just about him confronting his own daemons and accepting reality. Reminds me a little of shutter Island, very good plot twists and how insane the mind can get to protect us from pain.

I have never watched this movie, or any even close to it, they're not my thing, but the fact I was so emotionally impacted by that moment with Ratcatcher(?) just shows me how good this movie probably is. if one scene can make a person completely uninterested in the movie nearly tear up from emotional impact alone, that's a good movie. And instead of acknowledging that all Cinemasins has to say is "don't take your child to really high heights- falling is bad" is baffling.

I'm a CS fan and I agree with pretty much this entire video. I watch CS 'cause I like the nitpick, idk why. Even if I disagree with it, it's just entertaining to watch. I resonate with the humorous asshole-ery of the videos and it's always just pure fun for me and many others. Most (maybe all) of the nitpicking is completely useless bullshit, yes. I just whole-heartedly love watching the videos because I know they're made in good fun and I feel like not enough people actually understand it. Hate it, love it. I don't give a shit. I watch CS 'cause it's entertaining!

I have always thought that cinema sins was just purely like a joke and satire because they're all just so dumb, and the "sins" are always just like over the top, but after seeing this i realize that they might just be like... the fucking worst people

Am I just stupid? I really thought most of their jokes were satire with a few actual jabs at a movie. I’m not gonna lie I only got to a little over 10 minutes because I kept asking myself if this guy doesn’t understand satire, but am I the one that’s stupid?

I wish I had discovered this channel sooner! Your videos are amazing! I used to watch CinemaSins when I was younger, but after a while, even I realized that a lot of their "critiques" were complete bullshit LOL. Wish your series was longer, bobvids!

I feel similar about Honest Trailers sometimes. Their Les Mis one is a good example of this. They claim that the reason Javert is after Jean Valjean is never explained in the entire movie when its literally explained in the first couple of lines

For such a horrible game I’ve gotten a lot of enjoyment out of watching like 3 different videos about it. No matter what ending this game is messed up storywise and gameplay wise. Not even mentioning the sister brother stuff, he watches his wife sister dies hiding in the closet over and over. And to progress the game you have to drug your wife, this is a required plot point. Not to mention the fact that no matter what he doesn’t grow. Even after a hundred times you still lose to the cop in combat. It’s also boring to play, you literally repeat the exact same actions over and over just to get a slight bit of information

When I was younger and CinemaSins videos popped up on my feed, i always felt weirdly sensitive about them. It was like i was weird for not understanding why they were criticizing so many movies, especially if it was one i personally enjoyed. This video has not only validated that feeling, but given a sort of comfort in knowing i wasn't alone in my strangeness towards that type of content! thank you, you put it into words very well :)

Anyone who gets mad a cinema sins for saying their videos arnt good critics of the movies don’t understand a joke. They have said multiple times that they are not serious, that they are just there to make fun of movies and that 90% of the sins are stupid stuff that doesn’t matter. They even specify that the reason thier videos are under cinama and not comedy is beacuse they are trying to annoy people. They practically invented ragebaiting and they stand by it

ever since i stopped watching cinemasins and watched cinemawins instead i've been feeling happier, because i used to watch movies looking for problems to point out later in conversation so i could sound smart instead of genuinely appreciating the work. i'm proud to say i've healed

idk, I never really watched cinema sins for the commentary on the movie, I always knew it was shit. i just really liked the comedy, granted i can't remember the last time I watched one of their videos, but still

I keep on coming back to this video because it feels like people are getting worse at engaging with art. In this case, games. So many people exist in a perpetual state of unflinchingly stocism that the idea of people expressing raw emotion is annoying. It sucks.

I feel like a lot of the critiques of the sins could themeselves also be crtitiqued Then to mirror their style while having such an obvious issue with the way they run their shit really perplexes me especial because a large amount of the remarks you make could easily have the same logic applied to them. Everything you say is not factual accurate, you also make jokes about what you are critique and as such thoes jokes are can be deemed funny or not funny by the audience. If you fall into the same pitfalls as them then whats the point? This might come across as a cinema sins fan persepctive or whatverer but in a similar vain too you this comment was made to crtitique a crtisism of something. I just feel like this whole video could be made about itself.
